Uberbinder Named Finalist and Emerging Deep Tech Pioneer in Paris

In March 2025, Uberbinder was selected as a finalist from over 14,000 applicants worldwide and recognized as an “Emerging Deep Tech Pioneer” at the Hello Tomorrow Deep Tech Global Competition in Paris. The competition, now in its 10th edition, is the world’s most prestigious deep tech startup challenge, bringing together groundbreaking innovations across industries.

Uberbinder’s selection places its patented bio-polymerized sulfur binder technology among the most promising early-stage ventures on the planet. The technology replaces fossil oil-based bitumen with a low-carbon alternative made from abundant sulfur and regenerative biomaterials, fully interoperable with existing roadbuilding equipment.

“Our mission is to deliver durable, high-performance roads the world desperately needs to support a low-carbon future,” says CEO and co-founder Jett Yang. The company’s vision—Durable Roads for a Low-Carbon Future—reflects a root-level transformation in how roads are built and maintained.

The recognition follows Uberbinder’s North American pilot trial in Waltham, Massachusetts, and its relocation of R&D to the University of Liverpool’s Materials Innovation Factory. With global collaborations spanning the UK, Europe, and North America, Uberbinder continues to scale its technology and advance its vision for sustainable infrastructure worldwide.
