The team
Bruno Cuchet is the rare financial leader who has spent most of his career building businesses, rather than balancing them. As Uberbinder’s Chief Financial Officer, he brings four decades of international experience spanning finance, sales, marketing, distribution, operations, and executive management across Europe and Asia-Pacific. For a company like Uberbinder, that must not only fund its journey but also enter complex markets and build commercial partnerships to scale, this combination is invaluable.
Bruno’s career is a study in range. Over eighteen years with Bacardi-Martini, he rose from Financial Controller and Audit & Organization Director in France to Managing Director of Château de Cognac, and then through a succession of senior commercial roles in Asia-Pacific — VP of Business Development, VP Asia-Pacific, and ultimately Regional Director — running businesses, brands, and teams across one of the world’s most diverse and fast-growing regions. He went on to lead Asia-Pacific for the premium lifestyle brand STOKKE, and for the past sixteen years has run Anthora, his Hong Kong-based consultancy advising consumer-goods companies and private-equity firms on market entry, distribution, retail, commercial performance, and M&A.
Beneath that commercial breadth sits a rigorous financial core. Bruno began his career as a financial auditor and spent his early years in management consulting with KPMG (Peat Marwick) —eight years in audit and advisory before he ever ran a business. The result is an unusual profile: equally fluent in both the numbers and the markets, he is as comfortable optimising financial performance and resource allocation as he is structuring a joint venture, setting up a new subsidiary, leading a route-to-market expansion, or turning around a business unit.
