The team
An unapologetic generalist and systems thinker, Jett is the visionary and creative force behind Uberbinder — bringing that breadth to bear on a genuinely difficult problem, in service of the public good. Roadbuilding, where breakthrough innovations are too often held back by entrenched silos and gatekeepers, is precisely where new thinking is needed. He founded Uberbinder as a Public Benefit Corporation, built to serve society as well as shareholders, with one aim: to help decarbonise the world's roads toward net zero. He is clear-eyed that vision counts for little without delivery: the goal is not just to prescribe durable roads for a low-carbon future, but to build them — mile by mile, navigating complex supply-chain dynamics and forging a new ecosystem within an industry over-optimised for the past.
That breadth is hard-won. For twenty-five years, across spirits and premium consumer goods, Jett has held senior executive roles in multinational companies, developing products, brands, and markets. As a global marketing lead at Bacardi and a strategist across continents, he learned to change what people choose where habit is the strongest force.
He read English Literature and Semiotics at the University of Oklahoma — a training in seeing the invisible frame: the unspoken cultural codes and hidden biases that shape what people choose. It is the discipline beneath the strategist, letting him read a market, or a competitor's messaging, the way a critic reads a text — finding the narrative vulnerabilities and blind spots others overlook, and turning strategy into an exercise in foresight. He later earned an Executive MBA from Darden while running a company.
What sets Jett apart is his ability to turn a vision into a team. He has drawn leading academics in inverse vulcanisation and innovative asphalt, frontier chemists, and industry veterans from around the world into one company behind a shared purpose. He now sits at the establishment's own table — a Board Director of IRF Global (the International Road Federation), the body 116 member states look to for the future of roads.
